My name is Dave Bergman, and I’m writing on behalf of 10 CAN, Inc. — a nationally recognized Christian Veteran nonprofit (501(c)(3)) dedicated to suicide prevention, trauma recovery, and faith-based healing for veterans and first responders.
We are currently seeking partners for a special project that we believe aligns closely with your mission and values. One of our disabled and retired Coast Guard veterans has a lifelong dream of harvesting a Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep — an achievement that would complete his Grand Slam. Before his disability, he successfully drew a desert sheep tag in the lower 48 and harvested both Fannin and Dall sheep while stationed in Alaska. The mountains have always been his sanctuary.
Beyond fulfilling a personal dream, this hunt will serve as the centerpiece of a documentary highlighting his journey of resilience, recovery, and determination in overcoming PTSD—a story that will inspire countless other veterans and first responders facing similar battles.
THIS IS A REAL ISSUE
We understand the incredible difficulty and cost of a guided bighorn hunt—both the demanding terrain and the rarity of the opportunity. We are seeking support in sponsorship. This project is anticipated to cost in excess of $40,000.00. Any donation amount is tax-deductible, and we will provide full documentation for your records.
In return, you or your company/organization receive prominent exposure through the video project and our national outreach network. We can also remit your information if you prefer to remain anonymous or be a silent partner.
We are planning this project and are on track for the 2027 season to allow time for proper coordination, permits, and storytelling production.
