Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
On behalf of the Sampson and Forget families. In particular Chris Sampson, Connor Sampson, Kyla Sampson and Frederica Sampson, Raymond Forget, Theresa Forget, Katherine Smith, Richard Forget, Joseph LaPlante , Robyn LaPlante Lia LaPlante and Tony Cope are asking for help.
We are reaching out to share some sad news about Jennifer, that has deeply impacted our family. Jennifer, a devoted partner in life and in running a business alongside her husband Chris Sampson, has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The sudden diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer has brought about devastating changes and challenges to her personal life, family life and work life. Her physical pain, mental exhaustion and outward appearance have tested every fiber of her being. Her very long flowing hair, that she was once so proud of, is not long there. She is now bald after three chemo treatments. She aches from the top of her head to her toes. Her constant sore throat and no appetite is tolling on her. These chemo complications are just a few of so many more complications. With all this Jennifer is finding some strength to help advocate for the early detection of breast cancer. As jennifer moves through her wicked chemo treatments, aka the red devil (you can imagine with a name like that what it does to you), it is clear that she needs our support now more than ever. Jennifer is not only a loving wife and mother to Connor and Kyla but also a vital part of the business she and Chris have built together. Her skills, dedication, and expertise are indispensable to the success of their business. Unfortunately, as a result of the complications from her chemo treatments and the multiple weekly hospital visit Jennifer has decided to step away from her business so she can to focus on her health. Without her presence, the business will undoubtedly face significant challenges or even failure. This is not an easy choice, but one that is essential for her well-being. This is a major reason why we are reaching out for support through this GoFundMe campaign. Jennifer’s determination to prioritize her recovery while also becoming an advocate for breast cancer awareness and early detection is really important to her. As a family, we are coming together to provide support in any way we can, but we also recognize the importance of reaching out to our extended community for assistance. Jennifer’s wish is for her experience to serve as a sign of hope and awareness for other women. She wants to emphasize the importance of regular check-ups, mammograms, and trusting your instincts when it comes to your health. Her message is clear: early detection can save lives, and no one is immune to the possibility of facing such a diagnosis. Now, we are turning to you, our community, for help. We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to alleviate the financial burden that comes with medical expenses and day-to-day bills. By contributing, you are not only providing practical support but also sending a powerful message of love and support to Jennifer. Her family, friends and acquaintances are behind Jennifer as she fights this battle. Let’s ensure that she can focus on her recovery and advocacy work without the added stress of financial worries. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in Jennifer’s journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support. Please share this campaign with your networks to help spread awareness and reach more people who may want to contribute. With gratitude, The Sampson, Forget and LaPlante families
