Supplying Needs to Pets of Low Income and Homeless

Help the Tech Pre-Veterinary Society raise funds to supply essential needs to pets of low-income and homeless families in Lubbock, TX. Approximately 20% of the residential population in Lubbock is considered below the poverty line and surrounding homeless shelters in the area are running at full capacity. Of the groups mentioned, many of these people have one or more pets that provide companionship but are unable to provide a regular supply of basic needs like food. A partial amount of funds raised will be donated to Meals on Wheels which regularly distributes food to over 500 dogs and cats every 2 weeks to residents within the Lubbock area. The remaining amount raised with be donated to the Salvation Army which provides dog food for service animals living in provided housing. Donating to these organizations means you are a part of the solution to saving animals from being surrendered to local animal shelters and strengthening the human bond connection to their pet by providing a life worth living. Once all funds have been raised, we will buy dog and cat food that will then be donated to each of these organizations then proportion the food to distribute to those in need. No contribution is too small and everyone is encouraged to help!
