Support Sadia to Save her father's life:

I am Sadia Khan, a student at the University of Toledo, studying for my PhD in Biological Sciences. My father is fighting for his life. I just got back from visiting him in Bangladesh, where he was in and out of the hospital because of complications from a botched toe amputation that led to gangrene in his foot. We are in the painful position of waiting to see if his heart can get strong enough for the doctors to put in a stent for his leg. He lost his two blood vessels and being highly diabetic, his only blood vessel in that leg is also blocked. He had a massive cardiac arrest and was on life support in CCU. Between all the doctor's bills and my visit to see him in Bangladesh, I need all of your kind help and compassion. Now he is back home, but his heart is damaged heavily and the doctors won't be able to put stenting in his left leg because there is a high risk of life and death for him during the stenting. He is highly diabetic with high creatinine and his heart is damaged so heavily. For this, his amputated finger is not healing. To heal the leg, we need to wait a minimum of 6 months and continue the conservative treatment plan given by the doctors in Bangladesh.

If you can go through the expenditure documents and help me to raise funds for my dad, that would be a tremendous help for me and my family. My father will have this feeling that there is humanity and some good-hearted people are trying to save his life apart from the family. Being in a lower-middle-class family of a developing country like Bangladesh, these treatment expenditures are beyond our capacity, but we started and continued selling our last properties, but that is not enough to continue this heavy treatment plan. Being a Ph.D. student with a very minute stipend, I am feeling defeated and helpless to continue his mammoth treatment plan. But I am fighting for my father's life. I know in the United States, there are many families or persons who spend hundreds of dollars easily for their entertainment. If some people come forward to help me, to be a part of a helpless daughter's fight to save her father, I believe God will be happy with them. I urge all of you to help me to save my father. He is my life and I can't imagine letting him perish in bed suffering with the ominous pain of gangrene. I Just want to see him again, hug him again, make him feel that he is loved by the humanity and he deserves to have the best care and comfort.

We hope to raise $5,250 to cover the costs of the surgery and for the next 6 months of medical expenses. We want to be hopeful that my dad has more months, that he will be able to get the surgery, and that people will give.
