SUPERNOVA STRONG
Everyone meet Nova Skyler, our amazing 4 year old little warrior. As of recent, Nova was a perfectly healthy 3 year old boy playing football and getting ready to celebrate his 4th birthday. Until life took a turn for the worst. On March 26th, Nova was admitted to Yales Pediatric ICU with severe flu symptoms complicated by a pneumonia. Unfortunately, Nova fell into respiratory distress and was on life support for eight days. After eight days, Nova ran into further complications and developed a severe brain hemorrhage to his left frontal lobe. Thankfully, Nova was able to survive brain surgery and is now in the recuperation phase. Nova is currently facing intensive rehab for physical motor movements, speech, and vision complications caused by his Traumatic Brain Injury.
We ask the community to please come together and help Nova’s parents with the financial burdens they’ll face for the months to come as they stand by Nova’s side during this extensive recovery process. Nova has overcome extreme diversity, and has become an icon of inspiration to all of us. All we ask is that you give with open hearts to help our little warrior SuperNova!
