Team Lucas's Leukemia Battle
Donation protected
I'm starting a go fund me for a dear friend of mine son named Lucas. Lucas is three years old and four months ago started with high fevers and back pains. Sandy (mom) rushed him to the ER and was told Lucas had thirty percent chance he had Leukemia. Two hours later was rushed to Children's hospital. After a few test it was confirmed he had Leukemia (ALL) Sandy & Frank's world fell apart. Lucas 's went through several more tests. They found he has Leukemia PH positive. This meant two and half years of aggressive chemo. They spent 16 days in the hospital with Lucas the first time.

In all this Sandy having to keep up with therapies meds and care for Lucas was a responsiblity she had to do well. At the same time she has to be strong and not being near her daughter all those days was also so hard to do. Seeing that it is impossible for her husband to go to work at times also worries her.

Frank juggling to be at Lucas's side ,working and taking care of their daughter Monique, six years old has not been easy to do. Frank works mostly nights and yes with the help from some friends it has been possible at times. However as chemo therapy goes on Sandy & Lucas must spend more time in the hospital. This means he has to be admitted four days every other week for the next few months. Little Monique will have to keep her dad home from work to be with her. Sandy and Frank have no family support close by. Dealing with having a sick child is devestating and to bring hardship to it all is over whelming for anyone.

If you ever had a family member or friend with cancer you know exactly what this family is going through. I plead with you all to pray for Lucas & his family and donate what you can today. Praying for their days to be like this again.
