We are beyond excited for the second annual SuperKids Adventure!
Last year, the HFL Manor School students strapped on their capes and ran, walked, sprinted, jumped, danced and leapt around the track. They laughed, encouraged each other, pushed through their pain and surprised everyone, including themselves, by exceeding the goals they had set. All levels of ability, all positive attitudes, all committed to working together to change the world through hard work and kindness. They raised $3,537.00 to change the lives of vulnerable children in Uganda and learned that they have the power to change the world! The funds were used to purchase land and begin building the Little Wings Primary School in Kankoole, Uganda, which is now providing education and changing the future for over 160 children living in the area, including those not able to pay tuition.
This year, our SuperKids will be raising funds to finish the Little Wings Primary School with cement floors, windows and doors. The funds will be managed through Uprising, a project focused on changing the lives of children in Uganda through education and permanency in partnership with Saving Grace Ministries, a non-profit NGO in Uganda. In addition, the funds will also be used to help build a primary school in Nicaragua through Linking Hands for Learning. Just imagine all the little lives that will be changed through the opportunity to receive an education! The funds will be managed by Amie Wagner and Jeanine Lupisella, who run Uprising and Linking Hands for Learning respectively.
