In October 2024, our brave superhero, Cody, was brought to the ER at Yale Children’s Hospital after months of daily headaches that had become unbearable. An MRI revealed a Craniopharyngioma, a benign but significant brain tumor located near his optic nerve, pituitary gland and other critical structures.

On October 21st, Cody endured an eight-hour brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor as safely possible. Unfortunately, some had to be left behind to preserve his vision. Despite this, a recent follow-up MRI showed the tumor is secreting fluid causing cysts to grow back. Now, surgery is no longer an option, and Cody must undergo six weeks of radiation treatment at Sloan Kettering in New York starting March 31st.

This journey has been emotionally and financially overwhelming. The costs of travel, medical expenses, and time away from work are adding up, and we’re reaching out for support.
