Team Mr. Awesome- Tripp’s Fight Against Lymphoma
Donation protected
After months and months of testing, doctors appointments, scans, pokes and prods... our 4 year old warrior was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Our two year long journey of treatment is now starting with chemotherapy. On top of this, we are expecting to bring our 2nd baby boy into the world in just a few short months on May 20th.
At this point, our family is not sure of the medical expenses we will be dealing with or how long we will be out of work. We have a great backing from both of our jobs so we are feeling ok about our finances but this would just help in a pinch. We do not foresee needing these funds to use for our personal use.
We have decided that if we do not need the money that is donated, we will donate the money to fund Childhood Cancer Research to hopefully help get more answers for some other children in the future. Thank you for all of your love, prayers and support!!! ❤️❤️❤️
When Tripp had his port placed in his chest on Friday, March 1st, he also had a spinal tap and bone marrow biopsy so they could verify that the cancer had not spread to those parts of his body. We decided to donate extra blood, spinal fluid and bone marrow to Project: EveryChild which is a study of these specimens on a local level here at Children’s Mercy and on an International Level organized by the Children’s Oncology Group. Project: EveryChild is active research that is studying better ways to diagnose, treat and prevent cancers in children, adolescents and young adults.
Thank you so much for your donation!
