I had the pleasure of working with Nicole Ryan during my time as an ICU nurse. Working night shift with someone can bring you pretty close. I learned a lot about Nicole's big heart, as well as her life challenges.
Nicole always shows up for people and puts herself last. I asked her if I could make her a go fund me.
Last week Nicole AND her son had emergency surgery. While her son had a more simple procedure, at 40 years young, Nicole had open heart surgery. Not just any open heart surgery, she had a quadruple bypass.
So- why I want to help her? She has been told not to work for 12 weeks. She will not ask for help and I know she will need it. With multiple children at home, there is no way she will be able to take the full 12 weeks off without our help.
Time to give back to a nurse who cares so passionately and deeply about our community.
