Super fun time surgery fund

I always hoped to never be in this position. Unfortunately, in October I developed a fistula. This is a painful pocket that keeps filling up in my colon and leg. It causes severe infection and makes it painful to walk or sit.

I work on my feet for a living and haven't been able to consistently work for almost 4 months now. This has taken a dire toll on my finances and mental health.

I'm told when I get surgery, I can expect to pay between $6-10k out of pocket, with many specialists refusing to even see me until I have most of it up front. I'm desperately seeking medical insurance to help with costs, but I'm being told I can't get coverage until February. I simply cannot wait that long. I'm in immense amounts of pain.

I'm embarrassed and humiliated to have to ask for help, but it appears I'm out of options. Anything helps. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much.
