My dear friend, David Falcon, is battling Stage IV pancreatic cancer and needs our help. He has worked at a cancer center for many years and now needs the kind of help that he has so often facilitated for our patients. He is continuing the chemotherapy for now but finds his pain level has made it difficult to find part-time work.
Here is his story in his own words: My name is David P Falcon. In April of this year I was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. The first CT showed a one-third reduction in the tumor. This was great news but I am now experiencing belly pain like no other. My doctor replaced my Hydrocodone with Morphine and it has helped but I am still in pain. I have many prayer warriors and do believe their prayers are working.
Dealing with the cancer each day is a reality I never thought would come my way. To make matters worse, I now have to deal with the financial consequences. The place where I worked closed its doors, forcing me to look elsewhere for work. I was on unemployment benefits for a while but that soon expired. It was about this time that I began to have serious abdomen pain.
The other reality is financial. My wife and I are living solely on SSI. What little savings we have will soon be depleted. I am requesting your help in this endeavor. Medical bills and diagnostic x-ray bills are adding up. Fortunately, I have Medicare Aetna but there is still a 20% financial responsibility.
So please share this campaign with others, especially our CTRC family, and donate what you can to help this wonderful man and his family. He truly is one of the most caring and compassionate people I have ever known. Thank you!
