I have the rare neurological condition AGS
And I'm hoping you can help my #crusadetocrawl!
Cooper is just one of 20 known cases worldwide with the rare neurological condition, Aicardi Goutieres Syndrome #7.
Despite the disease robbing him of many of his motor skills before his first birthday, this determined little soul has fought back and once again learnt the art of rolling, developed his own style of commando crawling and is getting around in his Hart walker with an infectious smile every day. He is now working towards crawling.
He is one determined and energetic 3-year-old and all funds raised will give him greater access to the life-changing physical therapy programs he needs to succeed in crawling.
A focus on strengthening his arms and solidifying his leg pattern movements during recent intensive sessions at NAPA (Neurological & Physical Rehabilitation Therapy Center) in Sydney improved his stamina and strength immensely, as well as his truncal core to give him more stability. But he needs to attend these intensive therapy programs three times a year to give him the greatest chance at success. At $10,000 a session, we are aiming to raise $30,000 so he can attend three clinics in 2017.
If you’d like to help with Cooper’s ongoing therapy goals, he will make you super proud with his determination and effort. Your generous support will make a huge difference to Cooper’s future abilities and we can't thank you enough.
