Suong's Breast Cancer Battle

Hello my name is Peter Fryers, the great individual who I am fundraising for is a person who has spent the best part of her life helping others, including 185 orphaned & disadvantaged children in Vietnam. (Photo is showing Suong with orphans from Tu An Pagoda, Baria.) Her name is Suong Nguyen, 49 years of age, who lives in Vung Tau, Vietnam.

Unfortunately, Suong has just diagnosed with Level 3 Breast Cancer. At this stage she will recieve many doses of Chemotherapy, then maybe a mastectomy. This depends on the results of the Chemotherapy and if the cancer is contained. Certainly a very serious position for her.

The best hospitial's & treatment in Vietnam relies on finances. You require a lot of money for the best hospitials to treat you. If you do not have money, you will still get treated, certainly not to the same level as in the great hospitial's of Ho Chi Minh.

I am in Melbourne Australia running a Not-for- Profit Charity by the name of "DOVES" Disadvantaged & Orphans of Vietnam Sponsorship. Sponsors donate each year and support a child or in many cases multiple chidren. In short we pay for these children to achieve an education. Suong is the person who makes this happen on the groung in Vietnam. She travels to seven Buddhist & Catholic locations in Southern & Central Vietnam with me as my interpreter, to record the progress of each child, help with photograph each child, collate them to later be sent to each sponsor.

The children love her as she does them. To see them run up and and hug Suong is beautiful and always brings a tear to your eyes.

Another part of Suongs life is as a tour guide, organising trips for Austraians and others, many ex service personal who have returned to Vietnam, the current beautiful Vietnam, not the one ravaged by war all those years ago.

I am pleading now for your help in giving something back to the person who has given her life, helping many people and children througout her life, never asking to be rewarded, she does it because of her beautiful heart.

If you can find your way to see this person's life return to normality with the best medical treatment, I urgently request you open your heart and make a donation to save her life, if it's one dollar or a hundred dollars, it will be thanked equally.
