SUNY Brockport Students Need Help

Hello my cousin and I are college students at SUNY Brockport and we recently had a house fire and are all safe but some of our stuff is damaged. We have 4 guinea pigs and a hamster who are safe. We will take all the help we can get.

Brockport Firefighters responded with several mutual aid companies to the reported structure fire in the home with multiple apartments. First arriving personnel were met with heavy smoke conditions and reported stretching handlines on arrival. On further evaluation, Fire Chief Tim Smith reported heavy fire at the rear corner of the structure. Ridge Road from Lake Road to Drake Road was shut down during the extinguishing operations.

Once inside, firefighters faced high heat and heavy smoke conditions while they searched for any residents and fought the fire. All residents were accounted for during the search of the structure. National Grid was on scene securing the power to the home"
