Hi all. I have created this GoFundMe to help a lady in secret. She recently declared her public faith in Jesus recently via baptism and has been focused on HIM and not her situation.
Story: my wife met her at a event at our church a few months ago and we have grown to learn more about her from visiting and talking with her. She is not in the greatest financial position. She currently lives in a small town in Iowa in a home that is absolutely unlivable (will spare the details). My wife and family helped her move into a room attached to the garage of her small home and got a radiator in there to help heat the small area. She has power, but no running water (multiple pipe failures) and the house itself is unfortunately in a position to either be bulldozed or tens of thousands of dollars to gut it all and redo everything due to mold and structure damage. Items she cannot afford. Also, on 12/2, her car had warning lights flashing and started making terrible noises and now needs repair. Another obstacle she cannot currently afford.
We and some of my family and friends have helped provide some necessities for her (clothing, food, small items for her room) so she can at least make it. However, she absolutely needs to move and be a roommate with someone, and we want to help her clear the items she has in collections and get her car registered so she can stop driving on expired plates.
She makes the hour or so drive every day to get to Omaha to go to work, and works in the evenings delivering for a service to make extra money in the area as well before making the hour drive back home. She works 65-70 hours a week between the two jobs. She has been working a ton, and is committed to getting herself out. Its admirable and I'm stoked at her attitude. I have created a plan to help her tackle her items and to get her into a better position - a plan that we will be talking through weekly.
The money raised in this GoFundMe will go towards her car registration, outstanding collections and hopefully a security deposit + rent.
Literally ANYTHING helps (even $1.00) and we can't thank you enough for reading and donating.
