Lifesaving Medical Care

Hello internet.  This GoFundMe is to help two of my favorite people in the world: Andrew and Natalie O'Neal. They would never ask you themselves, but sometimes the world just doesn't spin in your favor and in the past year they have experienced a lot of really bad spins. Right now, they need help to pay for the medical bills that resulted from lifesaving medical treatment that Drew was in desperate need of.

 

 

Drew suffered an unknown medical emergency where he lost the ability to breath on his own. He needed to be intubated and transported to the emergency room, and along the way his heart stopped and he was resuscitated. He's currently in the ICU as doctors race to uncover what happened and how to take care of him post cardiac arrest. 

 

 

Unfortunately, that's just the tip of the icebergs for the O'Neals. You name it and they have faced it over these last two years, which certainly haven't been easy for anyone but has really hit this little family hard. Beyond surviving a global pandemic in the state of Texas, they've faced employment woes, Natalie's own health issues, and a crazy Texas winter storm that flooded their home and forced them to live (with 3 dogs) in a hotel room for 2 months and bounce between AirBNBs for 6 more months after that. Did I mention this was their first home together that they had purchased and moved into less than 6 months before the flooding?

 

 

To put it simply, the O'Neals will need to pay down the medical bills that have piled up due to the emergency that Drew experienced. The medical assistance was necessary and lifesaving, but comes at a high cost that is further complicated by Drew's current employment situation - he was preparing for an interview for a new position when he stopped breathing.
