'Sunshine' the Street Cat needs Vet Treatment.
Donation protected
I am fundraising to get a street cat, I have called 'Sunshine' her initial veterinary care.
She was found poorly, sleeping in a hedge in Manchester, UK.
I have been rescuing and rehoming cats in Manchester, UK for a few years now. I rely on donations of kind individuals who believe in me, and my cause.
The kind, thirteen year old girl (who called me asking for help) had been feeding Sunshine, for a couple of months, after finding her sleeping in the hedge. Sunshine was thin and looked poorly. With daily feeding, the girl managed to get Sunshine back to a good weight.
I have trapped and brought her home, as the young girl couldn't continue feeding her forever and there is obviously an underlying problem with Sunshine.
Sunshine is dishevelled, climbs instead of jumps, sways a little and drinks too much water. I am unsure why she lost weight and became poorly. This needs investigating at the vet. I suspect she is older than I first thought and it's sad to think of her years spent on the streets.
I have short videos of Sunshine's story so far, on Instagram and Facebook. Please have a look. I also have a YouTube channel which shows my full rescue videos. Links below.
I refer to Sunshine as a 'she' but I'm yet to confirm gender as she hasn't come out from hiding properly or raised her tail.
She has a tipped ear which shows she has been trapped/neutered/returned (therefore spayed) in the past but there isn't a microchip to give me further details.
Ashleigh Veterinary Centre - Exclusively For Felines, (55 Ashfield Road, Sale, UK) have kindly provided a generously discounted price of £350 for the initial appointments and tests. Sedation is likely to be needed for the second appointment to take bloods for FIV/Felv and a general blood profile.
I would like to raise a total of £490 to also cover Sunshine's vaccinations.
It would be wonderful to give Sunshine the love and care, she's been denied. I will not release her back onto the streets but will find her a loving, forever home. She will firstly need time to adjust to a home life and human contact before being ready for adoption.
Sunshine is proving more resistant than most, but I'm willing to put in the extra time and whatever it takes, to give her the best life possible.
Sunshine and I would like to thank you for donating. Any funds raised over £490 will go in to the pot, allowing me to continue helping (and highlighting) these down-on-their-luck cats.
Please be part of Sunshine's journey, we'd be so happy to have you along.
Warm regards,
Sunshine and Tiffany
