Sunshine for Meg

Meg was in our Brownie troop. Meg told us her house was haunted. Meg made me a middle-school Methodist.
Meg had "Let It Be" on a 45, but we only ever played the B-side . She took Dafina and me to see New Edition/Bobby Brown/Al B. Sure! on tickets she won in a radio contest. She won so many radio contests that she was disqualified from winning more, but she kept winning and just used her friends' names.
She saved my butt several times when we were kids, so now I'd like to save hers. Here's what I mean:
It's only April and Meg has already had three colonoscopies this year. And she was diagnosed with vertobrobasilar migraines. For a while she lost use of her left leg, her hearing in both ears and her vision too. She also lost 80 lbs. in the worst possible way.
In the midst of all this fun, Meg learned that she — like her birth mother — has dysautonomia/Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). They call POTS "the invisible illness," but a blind person could see what a toll all this is taking on a mama-of-four. Especially combined with lesions on her spleen, Ankylosing Spondylitis that caused retinal detachments, and a host of other complex and vexing ailments.
But back to saving her butt.
Meg has decent health coverage, but every test with every specialist comes with a $150 copay. Last month, she and her husband Brian started selling their folk art collection to relieve some of the financial pressure.
If you have any scratch to spare, her fine family could use it.
