We have set up this Sunshine donation page for friends and family who cannot attend my mother-in-law’s memorial service in Stockton, California, with the hope that you will hold us in your thoughts and mourn alongside us, as we know her light and love have touched each of you.

It has been incredibly difficult to find the right words to express the deep pain my family and I are experiencing. Grief has found us, wrapping our hearts in sorrow, and we are learning to navigate the emptiness and the memories that now fill our days.

We lost an amazing grandmother, mom, wife, aunt, sister, and daughter on 10/30. My mother-in-law had a heart of gold. A bucket that never is empty as she pours into everyone who knows her. She welcomed me into the Lee family and treated me like her own daughter since day one. She made sure I was fed during my post partum recovery with the freshest and cleanest chicken broth. She always made a point to tell me to lay down and rest while she took care of my newborn. She did this three times in a row, with a smile on her face, love and grace.

My mother-in-law’s love didn’t stop with me. She extended it to anyone near and far. She would make sure there was a warm meal and multiple more for any visiting relatives. She never hesitated to donate whatever she had to help someone else in need. Her love knew no bounds, and her kindness touched everyone she met in a meaningful and lasting way.

Although we are heartbroken that she is gone, it gives us peace to know that she is now free from her pain.
