Sunshine daycare centers COVID teacher fundraiser
Donation protected
Please help us raise money for the teachers of the Sunshine Daycare centers as a result of the Massachusetts state shutdown from COVID19.
COVID19 is affecting our entire society, and impacting us in ways most of us never thought possible. During a recent conversation with my wife regarding Covid 19, I was struck by how lucky both Liz and I are that we can perform our jobs from home while still collecting a paycheck. It was at this point that we began to think about the implications these times will have on Sunshine; a place that has been like a second home to all three of our children.
Jen Quinn, the owner of the Sunshine Daycare centers, has indicated that she would like to pay the teachers through April 6th. After this date, families will no longer be required to pay tuition. The hope is that the SBA Disaster Relief Loan for which Jen has applied will be approved and that the teachers will have had have enough time to file for unemployment. However, despite these efforts there remains many potential financial implications for both the centers and the staff and teachers.
The goal of this fundraising campaign is to help pay the Sunshine teachers' salaries as well as the government loan Sunshine will ultimately have to pay in full. Sunshine has been a loving environment for all three of our kids from infancy through their preschool years. The reason Liz and I have sent all three of our kids to this school, is because of the loving and hard working teachers that are at the core to Jen's business. I hope that you can find it in your hearts to help these wonderful people through this difficult time. No act of kindness is too small. I hope you will support us in paying it forward.
