Sunshine Center Indy Monumental Run

Noelle and I will be running the 5k at the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. We are joining the Sunshine Center Runners to benefit Heartland Christian Center’s plans to build a community center to provide assistance to families throughout the Northwest Indiana area who are blessed with family members of differing abilities. While every person is a loved child of God, we also know that family members who are providing care along with the people of differing abilities can become extremely isolated and overwhelmed. No one should have to live life in isolation. The Sunshine Center aims to come alongside families and the community to make a difference in these precious lives and make Jesus accessible to everyone.

Running is not something I normally do voluntarily, but Noelle and I are stepping out of our comfort zone to raise awareness for this project, and the need for the assistance for an often forgotten group of people in our community.
