Sunrise Daycare (room 3)

Hi, my name is Laura and I am volunteering with o2e (outreach2enrich) at Sunrise Daycare in Capricorn, Capetown. I am trying to raise funds for my classroom for essential items such as uniforms, school supplies and food. The daycare cares for 200 children aged 1-6 from impoverished backgrounds, basic necessities are luxury for them like meals, toiletries and warm winter clothes and blankets. The children at Sunrise Daycare face incredibly tough circumstances every day. Many come from households struggling with abuse, drug abuse and alcoholism, and they live in a neighborhood where gangs are a constant threat. Many of these children receive love and the necessary attention at this daycare, some even have their only meals at the centre. The environment is harsh, with crime and violence being a part of their daily lives. I want to make a positive impact in their lives which will give hope to those who thought they are not deserving of basic needs. Any help you can give would change these childrens lives. You will not just be helping a child in need but an entire community as the ripple effect of caring for another will be seen. Thanks for your support.
