PLEASE HELP “SUNNY THE DOG “ GET CATARACT SURGERY
Hi Friends, it pains me to share with you that I am going through a hard time right now. Unfortunately, I haven't shared this with everyone, but my best friend, Sunny, who I have tried my best to take care of since the year 2013, when I rescued him, was diagnosed with TYPE 2 DIABETES in May 2018 ( I didn’t know dogs could even get diabetes!)
Due to the diabetes, he developed cataracts which has now made him BLIND and depressed.
The Veterinarian advised to not wait too long or the blindness will be irreversible.
I wish nothing more for Christmas and for the new year than to get my dog, the miracle cure to get Sunny's eyesight back, cataract surgery, which is possible with your help.
I have been doing the best I can with the high costs for his care. I have been taking care of sunny with his monthly prescription food, syringes , insulin, vet bills, eyedrops , eye lube , consultations for surgery, holistic doctors, blood work, Veterinary appointments, etc.
In order to do his surgery I need to regulate his diabetes first.
The reason why its taking so long to regulate his diabetes is because I cannot afford to go to the vet every week.
It’s getting really really tough financially to get the medical attention he needs to regulate his diabetes and then get cataract surgery removal so he can see again !
It makes me sad to see my dog, my best friend, my emotional support dog feeling depressed and him continuously bumping into everything including the walls, doors, chairs, hitting his face on the coffee table, trees, falling off the curb, and terrified to go down the stairs because he falls down and hurts himself. I have been carrying him everywhere since he is no longer able to see.
Sunny really loves hiking, the beach, and catching ball at the dog park which he no longer can enjoy.
I am doing the best I can and living in LA is so expensive, especially when you do not have pet insurance.
If all goes well these donations will go to regulate his diabetes then we can do the cataract surgery.
Then Sunny can see again !!
I really hate to ask for help because I consider myself a single independent woman. But I will swallow my pride for the sake of my dog's well being and ask for your help.
