I'm asking for help for my husband Sunil Kumar from Ceres, California. Many of know Sunil as Sunny.

This fundraiser is to help Sunil Kumar with his medical treatments and to help support our family. I'm Meena, Sunil's wife of 26 years and we have 14 year old twins Krishna & Karishma. I, Meena have been taking care of Sunil since he first became ill in 2022. Sunil needed care 24 hours around the clock which left me unable to work and financially support my family. For nearly the past two years we have struggled and managed to make ends meet. This is the first time we are asking for help. This was not an easy decision for my family, as we are always the first to help others. Now the tables have turned on us, and we are asking for help with any amount possible. For all who personally know my family, know we are a humble family that is always there for others. Now we ask if you all can join hands and help us in this tragic time. 

On May 27, 2022 Sunil suffered a stroke and suffered from a cerebral hemorrhage, which is when a ruptured blood vessel causes bleeding inside the brain. This attack left Sunil dysfunctional and Sunil was facing a long road to recovery.

Almost 5 months later, on October 23, 2022, Sunil had a mini stroke called Transient ischemic attack (TIA).  

This led to a setback in Sunil's recovery. Sunil needed care 24/7, and I gave Sunil the utmost care possible and helped him recover. 

Now, on Monday, March 25, 2024 Sunil suffered a massive heart attack with 100% blockage. Sunil needs open heart surgery and possibly another surgery for proper valve functioning. He is also suffering from a right side carotid artery stenosis. With all this going on, Sunil faces a major challenge and could become more dysfunctional. This is another setback on Sunil's recovery, and our family is facing a great challenge. We ask that you please keep Sunil & our family in your prayers.
