It's in moments like these we realize how fragile life can be. One moment you are watching your loved ones smile from cheek to cheek, and the next moment they've left this world without a sound.
It is with a heavy heart, we bring you the news that our beloved Sung Je has passed on from this world. Let's take a moment to recognize this bright human being who we've been so lucky to call our friend, brother, son, teacher, leader, confidant, and chosen family.
Sung Je was inarguably a man of many accolades and talents but even more so...
He was an oustanding lawyer always striving to do more for his clients
A wonderful and supportive son always thinking about his parents
An attentive and endearing brother caring for his sisters
A faithful and generous lover waiting with open arms
A devoted and selfless friend ready to give you a call
A well-respected pillar in our community
A calming presence to anyone in need
And a helping hand to those less fortunate
He was always striving to better himself and those around him. Always trying to assist others in any capacity. Always aiming to lift others up and help them start anew.
He was a giving man. A warm hearted soul with so much goodness in his being. And for all of the hearts he touched in this lifetime, it is our turn to give back.
Let's raise a toast for one of the best human beings to ever grace this planet. Cheers to Sung Je, a man we will carry in our hearts forever.
(Partial funds will go towards his memorial services and death related expenses: his private funeral home, cremation services, funeral in Korea, tree planting in Austin and Hawaii, and life of celebration gathering on August 22.)
*Hi everyone, this is Vivi, his other sister. According to gofundmes rules, I need to note here that the benefactor of this campaign will be sung je’s parents for the time being. The benefactor listed on this campaign “on behalf of…” is Sung Je’s lawyer and business partner Tristan Dau from the Dau Law Firm who is handling the financial and legal aspects of Sung Je’s death for his parents and money will go directly to Jay Lee, Sung Je’s father.
