Sunflowers for Stetsons Memorial

Hello , my name is A’naiyah D’Addabbo and i’m here in hopes to bring awareness and support to my aunt and uncles recent tragedy.
Nico Maffucci and Rachel D'Addabbo, both Arizona natives are young, new parents of their 6 week old rainbow child Daisy. Rachel works as a local Radiologic Technologist & Nico works at a Fiber Optics business.
August 22,2022 the young couple had severe pregnancy complications and went into preterm labor and an emergency c-section was performed in Phoenix. On August 24,2022 the young couple suffered a major tragedy and heartbreak after the loss of their beloved son Stetson. Early December 2022 the family of the couple came together and painted rocks and planted a mulga tree in memory of their son.
Late December of 2022 the young couple was elated to discover they would be blessed with another child.
July 2023 they welcomed their beautiful daughter Daisy into the world. Due to a pregnancy complication following the delivery of Daisy, Rachel was faced a hysterectomy.
Thursday evening around 6pm August 17,2023 a MicroBurst hit their East Valley subdivision and caused major damages around their home. The young couple seen the largest tree in their back yard split in half and noticed that Stetsons Mulga tree was in danger of becoming uprooted. Without hesitation father selflessly ran out to the backyard and held his sons symbolic memory throughout the storm. Rachel was touched by her fiances bravery and started to document him protecting their sons precious memory. She decided to post the video on TikTok with no intentions of it going viral as she always did.
Now that the couple has gained the attention of millions their hope is to raise awareness on how fragile the loss of a child is and how important it is for both parents to grieve and heal in their own way. Most fathers get overlooked and are expected to heal much faster, making their grieving process difficult. That’s why when Nico ran out into the storm to save their little boys tree she wanted to capture the beautiful moment so they could always hold onto that.
Many people have reached out and have asked to donate towards an improved memorial space for Stetson. The parents agreed and are overwhelmed with how much love their little boy is receiving. With the donations they receive, they want to plant a garden of sunflowers and give it a better structure so if another storm hits they know it’s protected. “Sunflowers for Stetson”
