Dear friends and family, we are trying to raise money for kellen and Brittney To help with all the bills still racking up as life goes on,( even when you have a new born fighting everyday to stay in this world. )
On September 16th, lil Sunday Monica Grace made her debut at just 24 weeks.. imagine her parents surprise, when Brittney's water broke she was only about 22 weeks, they were transported to carle hospital where she was put on bed rest, hoping to keep lil Sunday aka..(Sonny, ) in her belly for at least a few weeks longer, but... lil Sunday thought the world needed her, and we did.. just not this soon, NOBODY had prepared, Brittney  n kellen thought they'd still have at least 4 months of working left, time to do a nursery, have a shower, buy things that all precious babies need, but Sunday,.. proving she's going to be stubborn, chose her own birthday, and on Sept 16th, Sunday Monica Grace arrived via c- section... we were happy, eager, n scared.. the doctors warned us, she would be tiny, but she'd have to be mighty. Throughout these few weeks she has proven her lil mighty self, she was only a lil over 1lb by a couple ounces here and there, she is a lady, that scale goes up n down, but her lil heart was strong, still is.  She has a collapsed left lung, a tear in her bowel that causes her tummy to swell and cause discomfort, she's been on 3 different ventilators, still on one.... a pic line, because she is so determined to be a warrior, she tries to breathe over her machine, and she wears herself out, so for now she is sedated, sleeping peacefully, and growing to be a mighty big girl someday. In the meantime, mommy and daddy aren't working, brittney will be off about 6 months, baby will not come home probably till late December or early January, daddy was going to transfer his job temporarily to champlain so he could be close to his baby and help Brittney, but instead, because he took the 2 weeks off to stay with her in the hospital, and await her arrival, they fired him,.... I'm sure as all of you know, fmla is unpaid, she also still has to pay her insurance premiums for her to stay covered, they still have 2 little boys at home, whos being cared for by there grandpa so they can attend school,  until weekends when they go down to see their baby sister, then back home on sundays, there's a car payment, insurance, gas, rent, utilities ,groceries and a loan that still has to be met every month, not to mention Christmas is around the corner, and both parents are worrying, asking each other, how do we do this, so my friends,  I'm asking that we all pull together and lend Brittney n kellen a little breathing room to enjoy their lil miracle, as many of u may not know, brittney wasn't supposed to be able to conceive, so lil Sunday grace is a true miracle. No amount is to small to make a difference when you have no amount, please help us in raising Christmas for the boys , helping with the living expenses that we all know, waits for nobody, but above all, just help because that's what people do when others are down.
