Sundance's Tumor Removal
Donation protected
In April 2016, I adopted a euthanasia list dog cross-country. She's been my best friend and an emotional support animal ever since. Since she's getting older, it's not uncommon for dogs to get lipomas or fatty tumors. Usually, these are small and don't bother the dog. However, this particular one is nasty and has grown exponentially over the months.
After getting to the vet and getting it tested, it was confirmed it was a lipoma and nothing to worry about, and I was told to help her lose weight to see if it shrinks.
It hasn't, and instead, it's grown larger. The only option is to operate, with the low end estimated at $3,000 and the high end closer to $5,000 due to the location and size, only a specialist vet will consider the surgery, and there's only four nearby. All of which gave me close to the same prices and information.
She's only nine years old, and it's impacting her mobility, and due to the area it's found on, she's starting to have issues breathing. I need to get this removed so she can have a better quality of life.
