Sundances eye operation

Hi I m Sue Rice I m the the owner /manager of the Ark animal rescue centre Donna nook North Somercotes Louth Lincs. We are asking people to donate towards Sundances eye operation to give this foal a hope of sight in her left eye. We agreed to take Sundance and mum Cassie in June from Welsh pony rescue . Sundance had been possibly been hit by a car on the Welsh common. Welsh pony rescue had removed her as she was in desperate need of a place of safety. We agreed to stay take her and mum Cassie as we already have a blind horse here. They arrived after a long journey from Wales. Mum Cassidy was very foal proud and feral at first. It’s so taken months of pure patience with mum to teach her we mean no harm and halter training and leading. We asked our vet Hill and Phelen to examine Sundance the foal when we felt time was appropriate. She referred us to Leahurst. Equine hospital in Liverpool. Today we took her for her appointment . She has a non functional right eye possibly due to trauma. The right eye has a cataract which we agreed with vet Fernando to go ahead to operate tomorrow 21st December 2021. The operation and stay post operation in s approx £3500 . So let’s give this 7 month old foal a hope of vision in one eye she could lead a very normal life .
