Sunbeams Solstice Stream for Utah Diné Bikéyah

The Hellmouth Sunbeams and Friends are streaming a 24 hour event to raise funds benefiting Utah Diné Bikéyah, a Native American-led 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works toward healing of people and the Earth by supporting Indigenous communities in protecting their culturally significant, ancestral lands.

The Hellmouth Sunbeams are an online community of fans supporting the fictional Blaseball team of the same name. While known for our sunny attitude and chaotic team culture, an important part of Hellmouth vibes is our dedication to community and the concept of resilience in the face of adversity, and we'd like to give back to the real world area our Blaseball team is based in.

The destruction, vandalism, and looting of the natural landscape and archeological sites in Utah remains a persistent issue.
Utah Diné Bikéyah and the Bears Ears Inter-Tribal Coalition labored for years to have the sacred Bears Ears cultural landscape designated as a National Monument, seeking co-management authority to protect their ancestral lands from development and destructive practices. They succeeded, only to see the Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante monuments illegally reduced in size in favor of extractive mining interests.
Utah Diné Bikéyah now endeavors to see the boundaries of the monument restored and expanded, with Tribal leadership respected in determining its stewardship, ensuring that the sacred ancestral lands remain intact for future generations of all people.
