Summon Her: Donate to Gryphon Magnus' Next Horror Film

The Person:

Hello! I'm Gryphon Magnus, a filmmaker and freshman at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. As part of the school's Film Workshop, I will be producing and directing my next short film this coming April. This will be my ninth official short and I am so excited to finally be starting pre-production.

The Film:

Titled The Bagwoman, this short film is a classic ghost story. It follows a troubled woman named Claire who starts getting hidden, horrifying messages from a spectre who haunts her in her dreams, and the havoc caused when she finally reveals herself. I've dipped my toes into horror before, blending horror and comedy with last year's Left Hand Man and leaning more into drama with The Bad Ones Stay Down. Here, I'm going full horror, really trying to lean into pure atmospheric dread, and I'm super excited!

How You Can Help:

Unfortunately, films aren't cheap. I'm planning on diving deep into on-screen effects, mood-evoking production design, costumes for the Bagwoman herself, and of course, paying the wonderful people assisting me in this project.
