Summit Photography Sports Workshop

Hello!

 

My name is Emily Armstrong, and I am a rising junior here at Tennessee Tech, currently studying marketing! This semester, I have been working as an intern for Tech Athletics, helping with photography and media coverage of games and award events! I have truly enjoyed this experience, and it is my current career plan to build on my existing skills and become a sports photographer.

 

There’s a sports photography workshop held in Denver, CO, July 14-17. The Workshop is taught by sports photographers who work for organizations including MLB, Getty Images, NBA, and Sports Illustrated. The Workshop covers headshot lighting, digital workflow, remote camera operation, and an editorial portfolio review. The registration cost is $1895, and I am accepting donations if anyone would be interested in helping me offset some of the costs! Sports photography is my passion, and working with Tennessee Tech Athletics has been such a great opportunity to learn and grow. I am entirely self-taught, and I want to attend this workshop to supplement my photography education. Being on the field this semester has been transformative for me, and I am so excited to continue to do my best to serve the department during my time here at Tech!
