Summer's Top Surgery Fund

Hi all, Summer here! After planning and preparing for years I’m finally getting top surgery on July 10th, 2024 with Dr. Allison Shore in Chicago! It’s taken a long time to gather the courage and get into the headspace for this procedure and I am thrilled and ready for this surgery to happen!

But to do so, I need your help. My insurance policy is through my employer, a federally qualified LGBTQ health center. While my plan documents stated that gender affirming surgery is fully covered, insurance authorization has increased my out-of-pocket costs to $3,700. This unexpected cost has been a devastating revelation.

I am here to ask my friends, family, and community for assistance in raising the money to cover the out-of-pocket costs my insurance will not cover for my surgery.
