Summer Fannin's CDH Fund
Donation protected
This fundraiser is for Summer Fannin and her parents Michael and Cassie.
As you may have heard, Summer was diagnosed with a birth defect called a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). Summer's stomach and intestines are in her chest and her heart is pushed over to the right side. Her right lung looks strong, but we can't know how strong until she is here. Her left lung is very small. Before her organs shifted upward, her left lung only had a chance to grow a little bit. It no longer grows any larger. She will need surgery immediately after birth and will have a lengthy fight and hospital stay. During that time, Michael and Cassie will be living mostly at Seattle Children's Hospital and likely not able to work or will be working very modified schedules.
The funds raised here will go toward Summer's medical bills (what insurance doesn't cover) as well as meals, gas and some living expenses. Also, Summer will need follow up care for years to come. So basically whatever they need to make their lives a little easier. Anything they don't use will be donated to a CDH Awareness Organization.
