Summer Abroad Shadowing Doctors

Hi Everyone!
I am honored to be accepted to participate in an incredible service experience and internship for this summer 2018 through the Atlantis Project. As part of the program I will spend 3 weeks abroad in Lisbon, Portugal. During that time, I will have the opportunity to shadow healthcare workers in various facilities and learn all about the Portuguese Culture as well as travel around Europe. Additionally, I will have the opportunity to participate in service--teaching English to the community's youth, medical professionals and unemployed adults.
As a Pre-Med student, I am very excited about the prospect of observing a healthcare system outside of the United States. With the emphasis that has been placed on recognizing and appreciating cultural diversity in my Pre-Med program, I truly believe this to be an invaluable experience.
