Summer Trips for Youth- Discovery Pathways

Hello! We need your help!
As summer rapidly approaches we are asking for help to be able to get youth from South Philly out into nature! After a terrible year stuck indoors, students are suffering more than ever before and eager to get out.

The families we work with face immense barriers to connecting with nature and lack access to any sort of positive, active summer programming.
With these funds and other support we will lead day trips and even a camping trip for disadvantaged youth. Activities will include hiking, boating, and hopefully even rock climbing and archery.
I have done all the steps to start a new Non-profit called Discovery Pathways to implement and grow this work.

Due to Covid delays our official last step 501c3 status is not approved yet, but it will be any day. After that we can accept tax deductible donations as well.
Students in the past have said these trips were the best memories of their life. For some these trips helped lead to college scholarships and even majors/ careers in environmental fields. All trips will include team building and will focus on empowering youth to become leaders. Students will become part of a Discovery Pathways Youth Corps and we will continue to support them in school and post graduate plans.
The cost for trips add up quickly with rental vans, gas, food, supplies for the trips, etc.
