In classrooms across Jamaica, too many children are silently struggling—failing not because they lack potential, but because their learning differences remain unidentified. The truth is stark: there is a growing backlog of psychoeducational assessments, and a severe shortage of trained experts to meet the demand. As a result, many students with suspected learning disabilities are left without the support they desperately need.
The Jamaica Special Needs Assessment Initiative 2025 is on a mission to change that.
This project aims to identify, assess, and support children with learning challenges—many of whom have been waiting years for an evaluation. Through professional assessments, individualized learning plans, and targeted interventions, we can unlock the doors to education for hundreds of underserved students.
But we can't do it alone.
We are seeking USD 20,000 to fund the vital work of this initiative—covering personnel, testing materials, travel to remote areas, and training workshops for teachers and parents. Your support will help us reach those often forgotten, giving them a real chance to succeed in school—and in life.
Help us make invisible needs visible. Support the Jamaica Special Needs Assessment Initiative 2025 and be a part of a movement that brings hope, equity, and opportunity to every child.
