In Loving Memory of Our Beautiful Summer Rose- forever 17

Summers final farewell will be on the 31st July. It truly will be so, so beautiful. We are forever thankful for the support from everybody, thank you from the bottom of our hearts

We have now reached way over the goal of £2000 which the fundraiser was created for, to just ease some financial stress from my family. The goal has never been increased, and the articles created are solely to share her beautiful face far and wide. I am shocked and eternally grateful for how far & wide her story has reached, and the people who have continued to donate. Summer will have the best send off with the help of the amazing community, any funds going forwards will be donated accordingly to Summers memorials such as the tree planting & plot she will be having in her name & memorials throughout the family, our one and only goal is to focus on keeping her memory alive. My name is Chloe, and I have been lucky enough to be the big sister to the most amazing, brave, and beautiful little sister,

On the evening of Thursday 9th July, our precious Summer suddenly collapsed at home whilst with our mum and lost consciousness. Paramedics arrived to us quickly, but everything deteriorated so fast. The Air Ambulance Critical Care Team had to ventilate her before rushing her to Queen's Medical Centre, where scans revealed she had suffered a catastrophic intracerebral brain haemorrhage.

Summer underwent emergency surgery, but despite every effort from the incredible medical team, the damage to her brain stem was too severe. We were told the news that no family should ever have to hear - our beautiful Summer would never come back to us.

During this heartbreaking time, Summer also delivered her beautiful baby sleeping, at just over 17 weeks gestation, which we all had the pleasure of meeting. We were blessed with three heartbreaking, emotional, yet incredibly precious days by her side before we had to say our final goodbye on Sunday at 4pm. Every member of our family came together to be with her. The pain and heartbreak we are experiencing is impossible to put into words.

What makes this tragedy even more devastating is that Summer was only 17 years old and 17 weeks pregnant with her and her partner Carson's first much-loved baby. Their gender reveal was due to take place on Saturday 11th July. She was so excited to become a mum, and although it offers only the smallest amount of comfort, we know she now has her precious baby with her forever.

My world has fallen apart, and my heart is broken beyond words. I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of my family to offer whatever help and support I can during the most devastating time of our lives.

No parent should ever have to bury their child, especially a 17-year-old daughter and her baby. We are not asking for anything more than a little help towards to ease the financial burden that comes with arranging the beautiful farewell that Summer and her baby deserve. We will give them the best send-off we possibly can, no matter what & no matter the cost, but if I can take even a small amount of pressure away from Mum and Dad, it would mean everything and more.

I didn’t want to set a goal, because every donation, no matter how big or small, will help towards Summer's funeral and memorial costs, allowing our family to focus on grieving and honouring the beautiful life she lived.

Summer's funeral date has not yet been confirmed and will be arranged over the coming weeks. We will update everyone as soon as we know more.
