CALL FOR MUTUAL AID ❤️
Many of you know Summer Abdel from her consistent presence and delicious meals for Feed The People in Bolinas - our mutual aid cooperative which has provided free meals almost every week night since 2020. She has shown up for Bolinas with heart, generosity, and spunk for many years and it’s our turn to show up for her.
In the early morning on September 4, Summer fell and broke the fifth metatarsal in her foot. She will be unable to work for at least 6-8 weeks while her bone heals and the nature of our work means that standard employment benefits like sick leave and paid disability are unavailable.
Please help us raise funds to cover:
❤️ 3 months of rent
❤️Groceries
❤️ Acupuncture & other modalities not otherwise covered by insurance
❤️ Gas costs to get Summer to and from doctors appointments in Santa Rosa
Summer will be staying in bolinas during her recovery where she can be best supported by our community. We will set up a meal train for the next couple of weeks and will share the link here. Please spread the word and stay tuned for other ways to help!
