Hillside is an amazing elementary school in San Lorenzo, CA. The school's neighborhood does not have a library, and so the students are extra vulnerable to summer reading loss, or the loss in reading skills that can occur when students are not in school.

Our foundation was started in 2016 as a way to provide equitable access to books during the summer to the students at Hillside. Each year, the foundation distributes relevant, high-interest books to elementary school students in first and second grade.
