This summer, we are fundraising to create a transformative program for 90 children at the FONICRIS orphanage in La Romana, Dominican Republic. These children have faced tremendous challenges—loss, trauma, and instability—and are among the most underserved in the country. With little to do over the summer, they risk falling further behind in their education and missing out on opportunities to grow and thrive.

Our goal is to provide them with a summer filled with hope, learning, and self-expression. Through social-emotional learning, arts and crafts, and literacy activities centered around the theme of identity, we want to help these children realize that they can be whoever and whatever they want. The summer will culminate in a showcase, where the children will express who they are and who they are becoming.

Your support will directly fund supplies, transportation, and teachers for the program. Every donation helps create a safe, nurturing environment where these children can make strides in their education and discover their true potential. If this program is successful, we can make this a regular offering at FONICRIS and also expand to other facilities, multiplying our impact.
