Rachel's Summer Program

As an aspiring young opera singer, I am seeking opportunities to further my training. Summer programs have become a necessary way to gain experience and make connections that are helpful when auditioning for Young Artist Programs--the stepping stones to launching a professional career in opera. This summer, I have a few of these exciting opportunities coming my way. The first is the Classical Singer Convention in Boston, Massachusetts in May, 2018. In January I competed in the Annual Classical Singer Vocal Competition and advanced to the second round which will be held at the convention in Boston. As a part of this experience I will not only be competing for cash prizes, but I will also have the opportunity to attend workshops, masterclasses and recitals designed to help singers grow as artists while building networks that may lead to future opportunities.
Then this summer, I am participating in the 2018 Opera Intensive at California State University in Los Angeles. As a part of this program, I will participate in private voice lessons and coachings, perform in a recital, an opera scenes program, and in a fully stage production of Candide by Leonard Bernstein. In addition, I will receive instruction in how to build a career as an opera singer.
These opportunities are important to my growth as an artist and represent the next step in building a serious performance career. Here is where you come in! Since I am currently attending graduate school at Bob Jones University, I am going to need financial help to pursue this next step. The money raised through this account would help with tuition costs, and with the travel and living expenses that accompany these opportunities. The deadlines for payments come as soon as two weeks after acceptance into a program. I am so grateful to the Lord for opening these doors and leading me to pursue these programs, which for Italy is March. I am so grateful to the Lord for leading me and opening doors. I also want to thank you for considering supporting me in this endeavor.
