Hello everyone! My name is Kiley Galindo, and I am 13 years old and I Love to Dance! I have been dancing in ballet since I was 4 years old. I have been performing at Inland Pacific Ballet Academy in Montclair, California for the past 9 years. It is a dream of mine to continue to perform ballet as I get older and eventually attend a performing arts school to further my education in dance.
This January I auditioned for the Boston Ballet Summer Intensive Dance Program (SDP). The Boston Ballet Company offered 24 different auditions across the US and they only accept a certain number of dancers for the five week long Summer Intensive Dance Program. Out of hundreds of dancers that auditioned, I was one of the lucky ones to be accepted into the program.
I will have the opportunity to study under Mikko Nissinen Artistic Director and internationally renowned faculty and guests from June 28th -August 1st. When I am there I will be able to develop and grow as a dancer learning classical ballet technique, pointe, character, modern, partnering, pilates, variations, choreography and improvisation, as well as Stretch and Strength classes.
I am very excited and lucky to have been accepted into the Boston Ballet SDP. I am working on helping my parents pay for my tuition and room and board while I spend 5 weeks in Boston, Massachusetts.
I am working on raising $6,100! The tuition is $3,100; food, housing, and transportation is $3,000. I am asking family and friends to come together to help make this dream a reality.
