“All Right” Summer Film
Dear family, friends, and supporters,
We’re a group of former and current high school students who have worked together many times through the film and television program at Glenbrook South. Over the past year, we've produced multiple award-winning projects, including Glenbrook South’s 2022 V-Show Video “Free Time.” (“Free Time is attached above as an example of our past work). Throughout the past two years, we've won seven MMEA awards and fifteen NATAS awards. MMEA is a film festival for high school students voted on by educators in the Midwest, and NATAS is the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, commonly known as the Student Emmys.
Building off our success over the past two years and many of us heading off to film school in the fall, we are all looking to step up our production quality. Our goal is to create a 10-15 minute short film working with a budget of $6,000 and the biggest crew in GBS history of 36 people. Utilizing the budget, we’ll be able to rent professional equipment, hire talent, and purchase props and costumes.
Overall, our goal is to get our names out into the industry, show people what we are capable of, and submit the project to festivals, primarily the All American High School Film Festival (AAHSFF), which is a nationwide competition. The film is scheduled to be completed by Friday, August 5, 2022, and will be released on YouTube for patrons to watch.
During our time in Glenbrook South TV & Film, a passion was found for creating and producing. We were lucky to compete in many film festivals and be recognized for our work. We’ve all grown very close and are looking to make something truly remarkable.
With your support, we hope to reach our goal of $6,000. Any amount of donation is genuinely appreciated.
Noah Collins, Omar Shoreibah, Michael Cunningham, Hannah Stettler, Tommy Casey & the rest of the crew.
