Hello there! I am Grace Holley and I am a special education teacher by week, children's ministry teacher by weekend. With my time off this summer, I am hoping to continue to use my deep-hearted passion for kids across the globe working with Ukranian kids who have been orphaned and displaced across Europe as a result of the Ukraine Crisis.

Since evacuating their home country around March of last year, these kids have not only dealt with the struggles and traumas that can come along with being orphaned, but have had to carry the additional traumas that come with the impacts of war. By volunteering this summer with an orphan care-centered organization called Legacy Refuge, I will be able to work with a team of experienced global missionaries to provide summer camp experiences to these kids.

Legacy Refuge is an incredible organization that exists to see every orphan come to faith in Christ, adopted, and empowered to live a healthy productive life and reach their God given potential. After serving to personally evacuate kids and find hosts for them all around Europe when the Ukranian crisis first hit, the Legacy Refuge team worked to develop relationships with the orphanages that were, and still are, housing these children. Last year, they were able to provide summer camps focused on trauma-based care, emotional coping strategies, enriching and fun activities, and most of all sharing the hope there is to be found in Christ (see recap video here> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeMk9EREJic).

This summer, Legacy Refuge is working to provide an even better summer camp experience for the children at each of the orphanages around Europe. This time, I am overwhelmed to be able to assist with leading music, emotional coping strategies, bible studies, and more! With your support, prayers, and consideration to donate, I will be able to contribute to my own travel fees, along with housing and food expenses, so that Legacy Refuge can focus their funds on memorable and loving experiences and resources for the kids.

The trip in total will amount to about $4,000, but any small amount of support is so greatly appreciated. Any excess funds will be allocated directly to Legacy Refuge to further support their efforts.
