Hello, my name is Lauryn! I am currently a junior and was just given the opportunity to study abroad over the summer in Berlin, Germany. I would be studying Language and Culture. Throughout this experience, I would be placed with a German family. I will have a language and culture course at a nearby facility every weekday for approximately three hours, and I will have free time to explore the beautiful city on my own. I have always been looking to study abroad, especially in Germany, and I finally have the chance to do so.

This opportunity will greatly help me throughout the next stages of my life for various reasons. First off, I am an introvert and haven't really taken the opportunities I have been given to get out of my comfort zone and try something new. Visiting Germany and learning about the area and culture will help build my confidence and push me out of my comfort zone. While getting me ready for college. Second, not only will this experience fulfill my personal goals, but it will help create a more competitive college application and a topic for my possible essays in the future.
