Summah Richards- 12 year old girl lost to a tragic accident

Hi, my name is Stacey and my best friend Teigan has had her whole world ripped apart and turned upside down.

On April 19th 2025, Teigan’s 12 year old daughter Summah was out in the world living her best life doing what children do.

As Summah was riding her scooter, she has fallen into the path of a passing car. Summah as a result of this unimaginable accident has passed away.

Summah was a remarkable young girl with such a vibrant spirit. My heart goes out to Teigan, Chris, her brothers and everyone who was blessed to have known her.

Summah was the kind of soul who could light up any room simply by being in it. Her playful nature was contagious, always ready to laugh, and bring joy to those around her. Whether she was popping up from behind a corner which she did often and with a mischievous grin or throwing herself into an adventure with pure excitement, Summah’s bright energy was boundless.

Her love wasn’t just seen, it was felt. With her big brown eyes, full of wonder and kindness, she made everyone feel special. She had a heart that cared deeply, always looking out for others with a tenderness beyond her years. Summah’s ability to show love so freely and authentically left a lasting impact on all who were lucky enough to know her.

Her infectious smile and the warmth of her spirit will forever be remembered—she will always be the playful, loving soul who brought light into every room.

Summah sweet angel, you will forever be remembered and felt in our hearts.

Your wild sense of humour will be missed but never forgotten.

A mother’s love will never end.

Edit* As the GoFund Me gained unimaginable traction amongst the community which we will forever be grateful for. 7News in the initial 24hrs releasing their article, released this article on the information we first had contained within the GoFund Me. The information we had at the time placed us under the knowledge Summah was walking her scooter. However, further updates came in and provided information confirming Summah was riding her E-Scooter. The GoFund me was edited to reflect this information due to wanting the public to be fully informed as best we can at the time as this is a public appeal for financial support. Please do not focus on if Summah was riding or walking the scooter. Summah was doing something she loved and a tragic occurrence of events leading to the fatal accident cannot be undone.

As social media can be powerful in a positive way, it has also shown us its negative side. We appreciate everyone who has advocated for Summah and her family by challenging these hurtful comments. Your love and support is not going unnoticed.
