Hey everyone, Sully has been my companion for the last 9 years. I had always wanted us to grow old together and the truth is we aren’t old! Sully has a mast cell tumor under her chin that unfortunately a simple surgery is not going to solve. Her prognosis without the surgery is months and with it will add many healthy years to her life… and also mine. She truly has been my number 1 out of 1 over the last few years and she deserves to be treated… I have very limited funds and have decided to leave my apartment in order to save the money to support her. After working through the pandemic in the vulnerable social sector I decided to leave the field in March to rebuild my mental health and work on creating a small business to share what I love to do… regardless… I am moving out of my apartment and using my savings and pulling my small pension to give Sully a fighting chance - I am looking for support to pay for her vet bills only. Please help us.
At this point Sully is still full of regular energy and not exhibiting signs of illness and I’m needing to tackle this undertaking very quickly before she gets to a stage we cannot treat.
I am going to map out the financials be as transparent as possible about where donations will be going:
- Sullys initial vet appt (fecal testing, 3 fine needle aspirations, referral to oncology) - $775 (September 2022)
- Oncology consultation - $250 (October 6)
- x-rays, ultrasound, fine needle aspirations of further lumps at specialist - est $1300 - $1500 (Oct 27)
- Surgery to remove as much of mast cell neoplasia under chin (this will allow us to know what stage the cancer is at) - est +$6000 (oct 28)
- Chemotherapy (post surgery) as tumour will be not be able to be fully removed due to location (under chin.) - I have not been given a quote but I have read it is in the thousands. (TBD)
for those seeing this as too much of an undertaking - Sully is full of life and she has truly saved mine many times. Being she is still young I believe she deserves a fighting chance so I am doing what I can to give her that even if it is asking for help.
thank you to whoever takes the time to read this and I am grateful for whatever type of support you can offer Sully.
