Sullivan & Van Fleet Medical Cost

Donation protected
Thursday afternoon (June 27) one of the Paradise Bound Ministries’ planes went down in Guatemala being flown by our Aviation Director, Luke Sullivan, with a visiting Missionary Pilot Bruce Van Fleet Jr.   Both men were airlifted from the nearby national hospital to one of the best private hospitals in Guatemala City.

Friday morning (June 28) Luke  passed away.  Luke leaves behind a wife (Ashley) and 3 daughters with a 4th on the way.  Later that afternoon/evening we were able to transfer Bruce to a regional burn center in TX via an Advanced Life Support Air Ambulance.  Bruce remains in critical but stable condition, and will likely remain in ICU for 3 to 6 months.

Luke’s heart and passion was to use aviation to share Christ with the Guatemalan people. He and his wife love the Lord and love the Guatemalan people. We ask for your prayers for Ashley, the girls, both Luke and Ashley’s extended family, and of course for Bruce’s treatment and recovery.

Paradise Bound paid for all the medical expenses of both Luke and Bruce in Guatemala, and Bruce's air ambulance from Guatemala to TX .  Total expenses paid thus far by Paradise Bound total $58,069.15.  There are additional expenses that PBM still needs to cover as well, and we hope to have those totals soon.   Your gifts help relieve the weight and uncertainty of the financial difficulty for PBM and the families involved in this tragic accident.

Please continue in unceasing Prayer for the Sullivan and Van Fleet families, remembering always that "Prayer IS the greater work..."
